Skip Hire Permits
There might be times when you require us to place a skip on the public highway, any skip that needs placing on council land will need a road permit.
In most places we can organise a road permit for you. Please note that that there is an extra cost for the road permit. Local councils will require the road permit in place before being able to place a skip ‘on road’. Although this is called a Road Permit, the use of such a permit is required for skips being placed on council owned property such as pubic highways, grass verges and pathways.
Choosing The Right Skip
Your waste removal project will determine the size of the skip you will require. Waste types such as Earth or soil, hardcore, brick or general rubble are categorised as heavy waste. Due to these heavy waste types, the biggest skip we would hire out is an 8 Yard skip. Skips larger than 8 cubic Yards are for light waste only.
Regardless of skip size, Our skips can be used for all sorts of projects from home renovation works to garden and home clearances.
In order to dispose of the materials above, you are required to contact your local council to seek further advice. They can advise you on how to remove and dispose of items that are not accepted in a skip such as those classed as hazardous or other waste types such as food or oil based waste.
*in some cases we can dispose of mattresses at an additional cost. Please contact us on 0330 113 2775 to find out more.
